During the workshop days, effective and practice-oriented concepts and methods (techniques) from Ericksonian hypnosis will be presented, demonstrated, and applied — specifically those that have proven useful for optimally supporting individuals in (sport) performance contexts:
- “Fundamentals of Ericksonian Hypnosis in Theory and Practice”
- “Communication tools for focusing optimal performance trances”
- “Using methods of Ericksonian hypnosis to systematically promote flow processes”
- “Hypnosis for dealing with competition anxiety”
- “Failure”
- “Setbacks”
- “Injuries”
Ericksonian concepts are particularly helpful for explicit performance contexts because they support an optimal connection between conscious–rational and involuntary–intuitive processes.
This enables cognitive–rational abilities (tactics, planning, intentions, competition and training design, etc.) to be effectively combined with motivational, intuitive, preconscious processes that are especially necessary for athletic performance demands.
This increases the effectiveness of coaching and mental training for existing motor abilities, motivational preparation and follow-up for competitions, and the precise activation of mental and performance resources.

- Hypnosis-specific methods for systematically promoting flow processes
- Anchor formation for the precise activation of required performance resources
- Hypnosis-specific approaches to competition anxiety, failure, setbacks, and injuries
- Goal-oriented “time techniques” – how progressive and regressive time approaches (building goal and vision development, systematically using past success experiences) can be applied
- Enhancing determination, dedication, and other motivational performance prerequisites for competition and training
- Dealing with increasing performance pressure (tournaments, career development, etc.)
